The Knowledge Center Maternity Care provides this insight by means of the requirements set for registration and re-registration, as well as for the accreditation of (training) institutions and by drawing up the Professional Competency Profile and the resulting revision in 2017 of the Qualification File.
With the Vision Document “Maternity care assured of a good future” (Deen, 2015) on the role and positioning of the maternity nurse in the maternity care chain, the Knowledge Center for Maternity Care has issued a clear statement regarding the development of the level of expertise of maternity nurses in the coming years. .
